ITTETSU is designed with a straight, slim silhouette and a thicker bamboo body, resulting in minimal flex.
This model is perfect for practitioners seeking a sharp, quick swing.
The handle diameter (bamboo only, left hand) is approx. 25 mm for size 39 and approx. 24.5 mm for size 38, offering a slender grip and a refined, tapered profile.
Crafted with premium cowhide tsukagawa, this is a fully assembled shinai ready for use.
*Please make sure to attach a tsuba (guard) before using the shinai for actual kendo practice.

●Care & Maintenance
・Store in a shinai case, away from moisture and direct sunlight.
・We recommend using both a shinai bag and the protective plastic cover provided at purchase.
・A tsuba (guard) and tsuba-dome (rubber stopper) are required for practice (sold separately).
・Check your shinai frequently during practice for splinters or cracks. Replace immediately if damage is found.
・Long-term storage may cause bamboo to dry, discolor, or become brittle. Avoid using an aged shinai.
・Over time, bamboo may dry out and slightly lose weight.
・The nakayui (leather tie) and tsuru (string) may loosen with use. Regular maintenance is recommended.

・Each kendo equipment and uniform brand follows its own design standards, so slight differences may exist even with the same size specifications.
